Before emigrating to the United States and pursuing an MFA, Yamin had an undergraduate degree in Art Design and a master's degree in informatization. 

 

Because of his "Maker" spirit and interdisciplinary background, complex engineering practices are easily incorporated into his artistic creation. He considers his work to be inventions that are a mixture of art design and technology. He can skillfully use computer vision, computer graphics, microcontrollers circuitry, and 3D design as a combination tool of creation.
